Forward Control S2a 4cyl Petrol

I'm looking for help to find a water pump pulley for a S2a 4cyl Forward Control part #541156. It's a cast pulley #3 and is only suitable for the FC model. Any help would be appreciated.

No one else answered and I can't say for sure but it looks like a standard 2 / 2a pully.

Is the crank, timing chest, water pump and crank pulley the same?

It all looks standard to me.

It's not a standard fitting. Hole spacings are at 1 1/2 and 1 7/8 as against standard ones that are 1 1/2 either way, As it needs to bolt up to the fan propeller shaft which has the same placement I need the correct pulley. This is a rebuild that was just a pile of bits in crates that I got from a scrap dealer that had acquired it many years ago in its stripped down format. It's number 96 off the production line and I'm trying to bring it back to original spec.

Learned something new today then. A mate had a 2a fc and we once took it to an RTV trial, good fun but hardly competeitive.

Are you able to repair the water pump? it should strip down & have a rear seal

Nothing like a sharp eye. The S1 in the background is a 1950 80". All original running gear, side plate 1.6lt motor and most of is bits are stamped 1949. Chassis Number 06104559.
Water pump can be repaired and the parts are available it's just the issue with the front pulley.

Can you look at the S1 to see if these are the same? As they both use a single wide belt pulley.

Just gone through the shed with the FC parts and realised it’s a 6cyl. (Aus import still in boxes)

The FC has the narrow belt crank pulley and S! fan hole spacings are even not offset. Have checked the 6 cylinder pulley and although pretty much the same has different hole offsets again.

Photo of another one of my babies 1955 S1 that I've had for the last 51 years. Still gets to do some work occasionally.

If you can’t find the pulley are you able to swap out the pump shaft or end where the pulley fits?

Have you exhausted all possibilities of getting what you want in Australia ? I think you might have look at more specialised sources than this forum , which tends to concentrate on more recent Solihull products . Do you do Facebook ? Can't change the mounting piece on the pump shaft because it needs to match up to the front fan propeller shaft fittings.

Have been searching across many different avenues including a lot of the facebook sites in Australia without success.

Thanks for the heads up on another couple of avenues to follow up on.

Without the correct pulley I'll have to re-drill the holes on a standard pulley and then make up a spacing piece to go between the pulley and the propeller shaft. But as with any restoration its always best if you can get the original part.
