I have had a couple of work Defenders and 90's but this is a whole different vehicle, not just the look. still have the fender - has a head gasket issue as it broke down in Spain and I got it recovered - its sat on the drive for a several weeks and just put it into garage yesterday in prep for repair over the next week. Didn't get a D3 yet but looked at several, gonna sort the fender first then decide. cheers for asking

What is meant by 50 constructive posts? - I am not that computer aware to be fair - my daughter is my advisor with that stuff lol

no worries, i have done a buyers guide in the discovery section which may be useful in what to look for when u start looking

is it ur good self that has the RR sport :)
just sold one and collecting its replacement next Saturday - did order a Velar - but cancelled that once I drove one as felt small and more road noise and moved back to a sport but the 2018 model which has a few differences. Carnt wait

the velar looks really nice but silly money , the D3 and sport just have different bodies , have exactly the same running gear and chassis

that sounds really nice, do u mind taking some pics when u get the new landy plse , thks

must admit would never buy a new car due to depreciation , but hats off to u for being able to

in all fairness the F pace - same chassis as the Velar is better value for money, the best value LR have at the moment is the new Disco but I hate the rear end- the car drives fantastic - they loaned me one - every bit as good as the RR sport. The hit I take on a new car is ridiculous but save a little with tax. Remember the new ones we buy are the same ones we all get for better value later! lol

chassis , them days are gone , lol, same running gear isn’t it ;)

don’t like the D5 , see land rover are blaming the dealers in using wrong number plates for the rear boot, lol

wish to stay with the discoveries , only regret is not buying one sooner , defentely the best landy i’ve had so far for its space and comfort , alas needs a little more looking after but well worth it

indeed ref the loss when u buy a new car, but if you’ve got the money and that’s what u want to do with ur hard earned cash then hats off to u, don’t mean that sarcasticly :D

may i ask have u driven a D3- D4 , if so as you’ve driven and owned other landies what did u think of them

saw this the other day , showing some of the wiring looms that go into the older D4

How scary is that picture of a wiring loom - ffs how will people repair them in 20 years!! There will be none about. My mate owns M sport and when I go there they have pioneering a new wiring system that works from pulse so a single wire can do the job of many thus cutting down weight - they make their own looks on a jig and all the cables are weighted to eliminate the excess. That picture is just crazy! Lol.
I do like the D4 - to me it drives exactly like the last shape RR sport. I think both the D3 and the D4 are very useful tools. They both are voted best towing car and both have a very high comfort. The new Disco article I also read about the dealer and numberplate but I still think that even if they centralise the plate it wouldn't look great - the whole back is wrong. The car drive is phenomenal to be fair - every bit a RR equal.
What everyone wants to see is the new

Wow you certainly tossed some wedge at that Defender. £1100 for soundproofing? £3200 to change the colour?
Does look nice though l seriously doubt anybody would ever get 35mpg from a tdci whatever was done to it unless it was warmed up and then driven at a steady 30mph.
