well hallo there all you pretty people!
newby raff here, new to landys and new to freelanders.
i have an 02 plate td4 manual, got it around april-ish and got a little bit ripped off by the seller.
i've already had to replace both fuel pumps, and now it looks like 2nd gear synchro's gone so i need a new gearbox.
on the bright side though, i bought roof rails, roof bars and a bike rack for it and it looks spiffing! :-D
have got some plans for what to do to it once it's sound mechanicaly, so thought i'd run them past you fine peeps first :) here goes...
.upgrade the 15" wheels and road tyres to 16" with bfg 225 75r16's
.2" lift kit
.waterproof as much of the electronics as possible and home build a snorkel
.chequer plating (i've not seen it on a freelander yet but think it'd look the dogs danglies)...
so, what does every one think? be as critical as you like :)

wherever i can fit them, but i was thinking pretty much the same places i've seen them on defenders... on the bonnet, along the side, may take a bit of shaping but that wouldn't be to difficult :)

May know a bit about that:D

They are considerably more expensive though. And they may not be to everyones taste. I'd love a set but I need to save my pennies.

if i had the money to make my freebie look like that, i'd just save up (a lot) more and by a wildcat :p
question, would it be a better idea to get a bonnet pod with 4 spots, or roof mounted lights? the only place i've seen a pod is on mm4x4, not seen anywhere that does light bars for freebies yet, though not had a long look through the forum so may be a link on here...

hey, if i want to drive a brick with low fuel economy, i'll just jump in one of the defenders on camp :p
( i say that, but if wouldn't mind a 90 as well as my freebie :p )

I've got lights on my roof rack, it's a 3dr so I get quite a bit of light coming in through the sunroof. I need to have a play and adjust them. Shouldn't be to much of a problem with a 5dr if that's what you have. You could make a bar quite easily, you'd just need a crossbar for the roof bars and attach the lights to that.
