P38A FM/CD Buttons on harman kardon radio not working/stuck on AM

My P38 harman kardon radio CD/FM channel buttons have stopped working. And now its stuck on short wave AM. I have removed the radio but all the wires look fine to me. any one have an idea please say.

If you mean the buttons on the Radio itself, could be the radio has failed. If there are duplicate buttons on the steering wheel, it could be one of those buttons or the rotary coupler.

The buttons on the wheel work. when you press the mode button on the steering wheel it only says no tape on the screen. So i am a bit confused.

I take it the mode button changes between AM/FM & CD? Sounds like it's the radio. If it's a clarion, they offer a good repair service.

As mentioned by Datatek if it is the clarion diversity unit they will referb it like new for about 150 , worth doing as they are a nice unit and cheeper than trying to fit aftermarket unit to work with the system.

No its an alpine model. i have taken it out and i am looking over all of the buttons and circuit bord traces just to be sure. But thanks anyway

I believe the alpine`s are cheaper to buy second hand than the clarion unit so may be an option.
