What's the flashing light next to the mileometer? It looks like a backwards y
I comes and goes but today there was a warning tone before start up. I thought it was because I left lights on but I didn't
Cheers

it's bad news(especially if it seems more like a crossed B)... some comunication issue between the BCU and IDM(part of the interior fusebox) or internal fault of BCU... if you have no idea what i mean it would be quite hard for me to explain the whole story in english... what you can try as a trick is to disconnect all the plugs from the interior fusebox, check for corrosion/water ingress connect them back, put ignition on pos II, leave it so 5 minutes then see if it cured it... check for water ingress at the BCU too(behind glovebox) ...if no joy you need somebody who really knows D2 electrics with a tester cos you might need a new/known good BCU

Great. Thanks for the help
Not what I wanted to hear tbh but thanks all the same
Just purchased a new fuel pump because it bogs down after 3000rpm there abouts. Probably not the cause tho now.
I just want rid of it now, I've spent a fortune to get it in shape and it still isn't right

I managed to find a photo the same as what I get
I've disconnected all the leads etc
I do get a wet passenger footwell from time to time and I'm still getting the bog down after 3000rpm

I've been reading up a little
My fob doesn't unlock the car and hasn't done since I've owned it
Does this affect the bcu at all?
Is the bog down related do you think?

Is it a case of new bcu?
Someone has said it could be water getting into the fuel filter which would link the poor running of it

the poor running has nothing to do with the BCU, the BCU could affect the central locking and other things...the poor running is other issue... a proper diagnose is needed by somebody who knows what he's doing...off course replace the fuel filter if it's old it wont hurt.

Hawkeye found nothing a number of times
I'm going to try a new fuel pump. The filter was done a couple of months ago and I don't go off road, all though the weather has been wet and this did start happening after the filter change so il have a look

found no fault codes but what about live data, cylinder roughness, boost pressure, etc?
