Hi

I have an early TDV8 2006, had it for 9 years now and love it. Put a new engine in at 4 yrs old, hydraulically locked and bust a con rod.

It’s at the stage where it’s needing some major work done, list and estimates:

New bushes and joints everywhere £3700
Actuators issues therefore two turbos £3000
Suspension dropping all the time, sensor and compressor £1500
Airbag light on £300
Minor rust nsr wheel arch £400

Total around £8900 ish !!!

Still drives great.....ish sometimes!
Does anyone have any advice where I could get the work done cheaper, if it’s worth keeping and speythe money or just px it as I don’t think anyone would buy it!

Cheers

Done cheaper. Almost anywhere i would think.

Front bushes are all easy to do as mostly you just buy new arms. About £150 a side should cover everything.

Rears a different story, no idea on prices..... @holidaychicken ?
Some bolts will be seized so quite a lot of hours needed.

Compressors can be had for under £300 I believe.

Turbos.... bit of a job, but shop around.

Airbag light.....needs diagnosing.

Rust....bodywork will always cost but £400 sounds about right for both sides.

If it's Mot'd it will sell, regardless.
