Hi folks little advice required plz .
Got a pair of front lamp guards with fittings but no instructions as they are used . I know its simple really but just for reassurance .
They are the type you need to drill the wing but then they have locator type pins that go on the grille but i cant seem to see the holes for these ...is the car meant to have these already or do i need to drill the side of the grill aswell as the side panel??

Thanks for now Drew

I needed to also drill holes in the grill of my 2005 Freelander Facelift.
Do a search on youtube: How to fit the headlight guards on an early Land Rover Freel

i'm guessing that you have a facelift feebie then. To fit the light guards you need to drill all the holes yourself as the freebie was not design to take these as standard.

If its the same kit as mine its 2 holes in the grill, fitting rubber grommets around these holes. And then a further two holes in the wing. Put the weird brass coloured nut things into these holes, and then fit the light guard. One bit of advice here, start with a drill bit that is 1mm smaller than the brass nut, i think its 12mm? as then you can ensure a tight fit.

Measure twice cut once! its not to hard to drill as most of its plastic just take your time.

cheers matt

hello, ive just bought a 2005, 55 reg td4, this has the new style headlight from 2005-2007 . can i fit the clip on headlight grilles/guards that fit the 1998-2004 models? ive studied the shape of the headlamps and apart from the fact that mine has a semi circle on the bottom of the headlamp they are the same shape.
Would they fit?
i know you can buy the exact ones for mine but at £100+ plus, AND THEN THERES drilling; its too much cash and too much faffing about.
please help
