Got a really nice ally top tailgate from ebay, seller thought it was steel but it's def alloy, but no sign of a makers name - I know there are several versions.
Anyway, there's no hinges on it and as far as I can see through the (untapped) holes there seems to be a slot for a captive nut/plate, but no sign of said plate/nut. Presumably the frame must be disassembled to insert remade items. Not removed the original steel one yet (that's going to be fun, no movement at all on the torx screws) are the steel frames tapped or is there captive nut/plate in them too? Can any one confirm how these are supposed to be attached?
