Wire it up through the switch with good thick wire. Turn it on. Wait 20 minutes. If the switch hasn't melted and wiring caught fire then it will be fine without a relay.

Basically, if the wiring and switch, and a fuse, are man enough to take the power required by the fan then you don't need a relay.

going to wire it up on a toggle switch.
three spades on back of switch.
do I need relay or just inline fuse?
Electric cooling fan for the RAD? If so you will need a relay. Kenlowe no longer have a good reputation, a cheap alternative would be the aircon fans from a P38. I can also give you detains of an adjustable stat so control the fans, you can still have an overide switch.:)

Some fans pull 30 amps or more, need a big switch for that:rolleyes:

The stat I use is dirt cheap and is just fitted to the outside of the top hose with a cable tie and some insulation. It has proved very reliable but I still have an overide switch. I also use a relay.
