Hi all, im thinking of buying a discovery 300 probably 2.5litre got £1000-£1500 to spend but not got much idea what im looking at. could i get something half decent for that money? if so could anybody be kind enough to tell me any of the common pitfalls i should look out for with them. also i would like an automatic if poss any common faults with them. any help is very much apprieciated

My brother-in-law paid £800 for a M reg a month ago and it had all the suspect places professionally welded, bit scruffy inside but runs fine, just needed the cam belt doing.
ahem i've haf 70 outta mine
and they is comfy and just as capable as a defender.
