Hi everyone,

Just bought my first Landy in the shape of a pre-facelift disco 2. I’m in Maidstone, Kent

Looked at 3 & 4’s, but the main draw to the 2 was the rear access as I have an autistic teenager (as well as a toddler and another on the way) and it’s easier for him to get in and out via the rear.

Bought it with oil in coolant knowing it’s 50/50 head gasket or oil cooler, touch wood oil cooler seems to have done the trick (going to take weeks to flush the last of the oil out!)

Will be on the road this weekend with any luck and once I’ve found my feet with her I fancy taking the kids out for some soft green laning if anyone knows any groups or good places

I’ll post in the wanted section when I’m allowed but I’ve bought a dog guard and it’s missing the fixings that go into the head height handle (7 seater) if anyone has any

Hope to meet some of you soon,

Dave

Welcome and good luck - lots of willing hands, advice and info on here.

Fair point, but I couldn't justify a trip to the Albert Heijn for liquid when we had finish power ball jobbies in the cupboard ;)

Ran a bit cooler too after a week of that caper, guess it could have been the descaling effect?

Welcome... loverly part of the world.
I was Langley/Sutton valence based.
There used to be some good lanes near the A20 by Leeds castle.
You could go miles round there, but check before driving
