Hi all..

I've owned my freelander for few years now, its been faultless and have decided it's time to get what I really want.

A td5 auto Discovery 2.

I am looking around the 5k mark.

Read loads on buyers guides and what not.

Found one at a garage that's showing 2003 es with 139k miles showing. Advert states FSH...

What's people's thoughts on that mileage?

Makes me a tiny bit nervous..... Will obviously male sure the history is Bob on.

Many thanks in advance

Bazza.

Regarding the mileage, the Disco you're looking at is 14 years old, assume 10,000 miles a year which seems to be the sort of standard these days and you get ....... 140k. Provided it's been looked after, the Td5 lump will go on and on, just keep on top of your regular maintenance.
As @neilly says, check out his buyers guide and if you've not already done so, check the MoT history at:- https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/.
I'll let you off this time, seeing as you're new, but we don't mention Bob around here. No, don't ask!

Wow that's amazing. Thank you all very much. Really do appreciate that.

Did sort of think mileage is about right. He's sent me copies of service history. It's missed 2 in its life but pretty much all there otherwise. MOT is superb failed twice in its life for fuel leak and tyres.

I'll have a good rest of that advice thank you.

Well looks like I may be off for a look. If I can convince the wife....

Thanks again.

Bazza.
