Finally moving on from FL2 to Disco :)

After 4 years with FL2's I've finally gone completely mad and ordered up a Disco. A friend at work asked me if I'd tried an X5 first. What do you reckon I should have said?!

The FL2's have been brilliant, but I've wanted a Disco for years! It's a huge commitment, here's hoping I've done the right thing!!

X5 is good if you are an underworld boss or own a scrap metal yard.

Very comfy, unless it is snowing then it is just terrifying.

Problem is, three of my colleagues drive BMW's, one's just changed his Merc for a Golf, another has an Audi, while only one has any taste and has a last generation RRS and a Jaguar XF.

BMW's are my pet hate!

My choice was easy. I either kept the Freely, or got a Disco. Nothing else got a look in!

LR322 Rangie? Hard to pose in an X5 next to one of those bad boys.

I like those a lot. At the level of use it gets, it's waayyyy too expensive for me to buy and run though!

X5 :lalala: I had to tow one of them out of an inch of snow last year :rofl:

I offered to tow a RRS out of the snow and uphill last year, but the owner declined, if I had high speed-tyres fitted I would have been stuck also. :lalala:

That's pretty much the logic with the Disco

But, at 35,000 miles a year, the unlimited mileage, 3 year warranty is a big attraction!

Dealer's just told me that it's likely to be with them for 23/9/15, possibly earlier. They'll want to get it out of the door, registered and paid for ASAP and I really want to get my hands on it now! Really, really want to get my hands on it now!

I test drove an X5 and bought a Discovery.

Similar price

Discovery is a mch more interesting vehicle, the X5 is a white goods car

Loved all 3 of the FL2's, but I've finally got the Disco

The last one of those I had a good look at was parked in the courtyard approach to the Marriot Hotel by Westminster Bridge.

The guy (of foreign descent, one of his wives was wearing a bandit's mask) who had it seemed well chuffed with it and told me he'd just hired it that day. I did feel a bit smug when I said "Mine is just a Disco 2, but at least I own it".

New D4 looks Very nice, love the colour, not keen on 'Discovery' lettering either TBH, good choice with getting LR put on it.

Your old FL2 looks very nice too.

I've just swapped to a disco too! I've also had a FL2 and the disco is a whole world apart.
