if you read my other post, this will seem a logical next step! the leak from the sun roof has now dripped onto my stereo, a Karmon unit. its now stuck on radio, I can't adjust anything, not even by the steering wheel controls. any suggestion on how to a) fix, b) remove the stereo? i guess it could be full of english weather...

I Had the same problem with mine, Whilst on holiday in Cornwall. Went to main Stealers they wanted £350. for a new unit said thank you and will think about it left them, 5 mins later main stealers phoned and said they had made a mistake and the actual cost would be £700 for the unit but price did include fitting. Drove home with out stereo bought one last month. for £139. If you want one to use with steering controls find one without CD Player and with aux in rear of unit. I have now got Sony fitted with facia plate :)

Does anyone know where i can by a removal tool for my stereo? its the 990 'highline' stereo, the Haynes manualshows them like two little keys...

Only place i know to get them is main stealers, other outlets didnt have them or they would sell you a full set for different stereos at £30 a time. didnt fancy that so i used the wifes nail files, some are just the right size to fit. Mine was a highline model as well. :)
