OK, I've had the dreaded transmission fault, HDC system fault, parking brake fault and suspension lowered messages. I can still drive the car as the faults clear after a restart but the fault soon returns. I have just had a 4 wheel alignment and wonder if that has something to do with it.

I did have a similar fault in a Freelander and it turned out to be a dirty fuel filter!

hello and welcome to the forum:)
Have you checked the battery condition and charging voltage, low volts throw up all sorts of phantom errors

Hi

if it wasn’t there before 4 wheel alignment ensure the steering wheel angle sensor is correct

failing that needs codes read as they may have disturbed something

Ok that rules that one out,
its the first rule of any random fault codes

hi buddy

plus 1 ref voltages , as indeed as u say can cause havoc

funny enough heard a lot about if a genuine denso alternator isn’t fitted can cause all sorts of problems , but sounds like they haven’t reset the steering wheel angle sensor after alignment

Have you tried moving the steering from full lock to opposite lock, this is a reset procedure for the steering angle sensor
