after finally getting my 2001 td4 auto to run again and get it mot,d and back on the road it has another issue now.
when i press the throttle it runs smooth to 4k rpm, then its like it hits a rev limiter...the revs drop then rise up and down with the throttle held in the same position.
hawkeye comes up with P0235...i clear the code but it comes back after a while...sometimes hawkeye says......boost pressure sensor short(open load or to ground).....another time hawkeye will say boost pressure sensor plausability with atmospheric pressure at idle.
i have changed the boost pressure sensor and checked the pipework as best i can......any ideas?

i put a new sensor on the o/s of the manifold...turbo boost sensor...cost me just under 60 quid trade, not an ebay special.
several boost hoses were replaced in the last year, all the little pipes look in good order.its due its mot oil change but it stood 6 months after its last oil change so the oil has done no mileage.

Could be a bad connection, or a dodgy earth, but as it's OK most of the time it's unlikely, but check em anyway.
As it's been stood quite a bit, I'd go steady with it for a while. Keep things under 3000rpm(its quite easy to do with an auto) let things bed in. It might sort itself if your lucky.
But I'll keep thinking. Someone else might have another idea.
Mike
