Freelander 1 facelift vs pre facelift

Hi All,
Is the engine, wheels and seats the same in the pre facelift models the same as the facelift models?

The reason I am asking is that we have a pre facelift with a very nice leather seats and I am considering buying a facelift model. I would like to switch the seats over and if the engine is the same I might keep our old one for parts.

Yes the whole thing is the same except for the front bit and the td4 is the same engine as well as the 1800 petrol is the same and the v6 is the same as long as you have like for like but there are two things different the v 6 vcu will not fit the others and the series engine is not the same as a td4

Seats are different, dash is different, center console can hold 2 din radio, 5 door cards are different (in facelift window switches are on doors). Engine have some small changes (IAT sensor on IC Pipe ect)

Damn, so seats won't change over :-(

So I could swap the seats over?

As far as I remember, seats are a different design, but sat on the same runners, so will fit.

You can swap it. But swap for less comfortable seats will be... strange

As above. The later seats will interchange for the early type but the later seats are thought to be more comfortable. The actual fixings are the same though.
Pretty much everything else will be useful as a spares car however with the exception of some interior trim parts. The rest you can always sell on. I'm after a near side C-D pillar trim in black BTW

Hmmm cloth more comfortable or leather less comfortable.....

So can you fit a facelift front to a 2001 FL
