Hi guys
I am currently in the middle of doing a S2a restoration using a disco 200tdi engine but using 300tdi manifolds the question I have is I am about to buy a 300tdi exhaust manifold without the turbo and my plan is to buy a new turbo later and I just need to know is there anything I would need when it comes to bolting the new turbo to the manifold.
all response greatly appreciated :)

If you buy just the 300tdi exhaust manifold casting, and a new CHRA cartridge separately - you'll need the retaining plates and bolts for the turbine side to bolt the cartridge up, the compressor circlip + the housing for the compressor side, along with a waste-gate actuator and the brass t - fitting for the boost take off on the compressor housing, compressor housing gasket and then the feed banjo + drain union.

If you haven't bought the manifold yet i'd just spend the extra 50 odd quid for a complete recon unit from one of the many UK based re-builders, they're £250-300, everything included - a rebuilt cartridge alone is £120-200, so it makes sense to avoid the hassle.

Found an example off google: https://www.turborebuild.co.uk/webs...ender-Discovery-25L-300tdi-ERR4893-Turbo.html

I've used turbodynamics before for rebuilds and they're very sound guys as well, free inspection of sent in units as well (a few years ago) if that is still on.
