Hi,
I recently bought a Gap iid tool to solve problems on my suspension. Since I've had it the code and message P0405-00 (2D) Exhaust gas recirculation sensor A - circuit low have come up. Has anyone come across this before? I've got an MOT due later this month so hoping it won't be an issue.
Thanks

hi

quite common as it’s a faulty egr valve , if it’s before 2007 the easiest thing to do is blank them off and remove the butterfly valve

how have u got on with ur suspension

Hi gstuart, I took the compressor out to have a look and new piston seal I had fitted seemed a very loose fit and there was a lot of dust in the cylinder. The bore is marked in a few places so think it might be abrasive to the seal. I've ordered another compressor and left front height sensor. Hoping to receive them on Tuesday.
It's an 06 model. Could you tell me if it's easy to blank them off and will it affect the MOT
Thanks again.

good you’ve got the compressor then under control by ordering a new one

i done the egr blank myself and very easy to do and no nothing to do with the mot if there blanked

took me 1/2 day as i cleaned all the junk out of the butterfly housing assembly

this was mine and as u can see there was a lot of junk in there

Thanks for that gstuart.
Loving the iid tool by the way. Really glad I spent the extra and went for it.

no worries and always happy to help

indeed i thought u would like the iid, fantastic bit of kit and will virtually do everything the T4 can do that the land rover dealers have

surprising how quick it will pay for itself and also have the convenience of having it to hand

Hi gstuart,
Would you mind having a look at this and letting me know if it;'s what I need?

Many thanks

hi mate

yep that’s all u need, if u get the egr fault code after you’ve blanked them just ignore it, just means ur egr has failed, so with the blank there disabled

i blanked mine before mine failed

will be interesting if u don’t mind taking some pics plse , to see what condition it’s in , takes a little while to clean it all out

Yes no problem, I'll take some pictures of the job when I do it.
Thanks once again

no worries, shame u wasn’t closer otherwise i could have given u a had, it being rude but just a lending hand

i’ve got some pics somewhere when i done mine , may be of some use to u

Yes we're certainly a fair distance apart.
I've found some instructions on the Internet but extra pics would be good thanks.

indeed, good you’ve found instructions as it will give u step by step

doing anything in the engine bay is indeed tight for access and sometimes having to remove items to get to the part ur trying to change

will be good to see how u get on, isn’t difficult just fidly
