exhaust differences?

Hi folks,first post here.I am wandering if an exhaust i took of a g reg 3.5 rrc will fit my l reg 3.9 rrc?Quick look underneath and it looks like there is a tubular crossmember on the 3.9,and the 3.5 had a kind of square one?Also the y pipe goes under on the 3.9 and over on the 3.5,i just do not want to strip it to try to fit it,if it wont go.Thanks in advance Paul...

Hi there...just had a look on the Bosal catalogue and the part nos. are different for the '89, 3.5 and the 3.9 without Cat's.
If you go to Car Parts, Equipment, Paint, Tools & Car Consumables - Body Shop Warehouse, UK there is a Bosal catalogue and price list which will give you an indication of prices and diagrams of the systems
