ex military land rovers

Hi guys. I was looking at ex military land rovers on Saturday. The guy said he would be able to sort me one out for £1500 and that could possibly include an mot. Does that seem like a good price. Or would I be better going for the likes of a 90 and paying a bit less?

that's a bit of an open ended question ? which ex-military landrover, how old ? what type ? what engine ? and so on.

give us some more details and maybe we can advise.

However, look around at the prices on ebay and so on and you'll get a feel for what you can get for your money and whether what this guy is offering is reasonable.

Hi again. I think it is a series III. 2.25 Diesel LWB. Not entirely sure on the age. Hope this helps a bit more.

It would have to be in good condition.
2.25 diesel is unlikely to be original on an Ex Mil, so check the workmanship on the conversion carefully.

They look a bit shabby, what with the paint peeling off. I am just really not decided whether i want one like that or just get a 90. its just the chassis that i am worried about with them. Not entirely sure where to check on them?

check everywhere - you might be best off finding someone local to you who knows landies who would be able to come with you so you don't go buying something worthless

but there's virtual reams of good stuff you could be reading so if you do view on your own youd have at least some clue what to look at
