I know it's been done before, however can't for the life of me find pics...

I know RealBeale may have some... Anyone else...

(5 spoke rally speedlines in white are my perfect solution but too expensive, looking at cheap alternatives to standard wheels and modulars)

I have evolution wheels on my FL 1 recently hoping I am reading right Evo as these below

Think he means mitsubishi lancer evo ;)
I looked at em. I ended up going with the jeep ones cos they were half the price

I can't see any problem. They use them for racing and rallying on the Evo's so I'd say they'd be plenty tough enough for use on a Freelander, especially when most Freelanders will never leave the tarmac.

Isn't it more to do with the weight rating of the wheel rather than the "toughness"?

To be fair, a Freelander is no heavier than a family saloon car, its only with things like 110/130's where you're going to have issues with load ratings

Standard Td4 3dr hard top is around 1555kg. Evo IV GSR is 1345kg. As my 3dr Td4's have had most of the heaviest parts removed from their interiors (and also taking into account I have added a rollcage) I have still shaved around 100kg off the overall weight - even more when I get round to fitting the fibreglass bonnets and tailgates. Also taking into account that the Evo wheels were designed to cope not only with the weight of the car, but also the rigours of racing/rallying too.
