The disco went back to Driver Transmissions today, 1st gear had 1st and 2nd, reverse failed to engage a few times and 'P' had to be pushed hard to engage... went in at 12.30 and straight on the lift and i left have heard jack ov em since so im expectin another long wait to get it back.. i was hoping it was as simple as the linkage :( :( :(
 
Jeez, you're getting sh1t on at every turn with that gearbox mate. Hope you get it sorted sharpish.
 
so do i, the 'P' i knew about when i collected it last week but i thort i could live with that but from the lights this morning i had an overwhelming urge to... floor it as is occasionally done to remind meself why i bort a V8 :) so put in 1 and i was pretty ****ed off when it changed to 2nd just before i went to shift it to 2
lack of 'curtesy calls' is summat that annoys me :(

Are you sure you aint using the same engineering company that I am?:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

engineering company did the headgasket on my TD5 at the end of last year. I gave it back to em nearly 7 weeks ago cos it started playing up again. Turns out they'd failed to spot 2 cracks in the head when they tested it.

They've had the new head 2 1/2 weeks so far (it's already skimmed and tested) and still haven't fitted it yet. It was meant to be ready for last friday.:mad::mad::mad:
 
I think both of you should refrain from posting for a while as you are making the Discovery and Defender sound as bad as the Freelanders.....shhhhhhh

Oh if any one asks....your cars are in the gallery as art exhibits;)
 
had to go to dvla b'ham this morning so stopped off at driver transmissions on the way back bout 9.30, me mota was ready and it drives as it shud :D:D:D hope it stays that way :)
