Have this fuel problem with 2007 L320 V8 diesal , overtaking and engine loses power.
Fault lies with P000E -00. Fuel Volume regulator control exceeded learning limit.
So after some research , there is a VOLUME CONTROL Valve on the pump ,. Can anyone help please, has anyone experianced this fault.

I have just fitted a new inlet manifold as a result of working out the fault above Screenshot_20220102-160914_IIDControl.jpg and I get these faults after the rebuilt , I tried to erase on Gap but its not happening . I have checked all the plugs I had disconnected but nothing obvious there either.

The first fault showing the engine faults would I think relate and cause the other faults. Any help appreciated!

How did the manifold affect the fuel volume?
Fuel volume çan change for a few reasons, pump faulty, fuel pump regulator or even injectors jamming open or shut. These can raise and lower the rail pressure.. The manifold has no control over the fuel im afraid.

My understanding , before the inlet was replaced that while I was looking for leaks which I found on the inlet while boosting was that the turbo pipe changed in hardness to compensate what was being asked for compared to the nearside.. So I thought logically while boosting it would use more fuel as more air is being blown in ?

I see where your going but the air flow is seen by the mass air flow (maf) and air pressure is seen via the manifold absolute pressure sensor (map) a bad leak will cause a overboost or map sensor fault and the engine ecu will reduce power to reduce possible damage to the engine. Anything after the MAF sensor is not monitored and the engine will only default if there are plausibility issues, I. E the real figures don't match the ecu predicted or programmed figures. ;)

A leak off test on the injectors will reveal any imbalance between them. If no imbalance then taking a closer look at the pump modulation could be next.. Expensive nightmare if all have got issues...

A bridge too far at the moment, the engine pulls a lot smoother than it did, definitely a cracked manifold at this stage , will see if it settles down . Thanks for your help and knowledge.

Old code appears after inlet manifold replacement. CAR RUNS FINE.Screenshot_20220111-193805_IIDControl.jpgSo I don't know .
