Hi there niceguyz
What kind of temperatures do you get on average there
Reason I ask is it helps to chose oil grade :D

You need a multigrade oil such as 15-40, 15-50, something like - assuming you can get multigrade oils where you are?

hi pauli thanks for us support...average temp. here is around min 27 deg C ..max 39 deg Celsius...so using sae 40 ..can it harm my disco engine..??

What you reckon Biglad

As I said before, I would recommend, subject to availability, a multigrade oil like 10-40, 10-50, 15-40, 15-50.

The reasoning is this, when you first start your cold engine in the morning it needs immediate lubrication so a 10-40 for example had a thinner viscocity of 10 at low temps and a viscocity of 40 at high temps, so works well during the day at 30-40° C.

You need a multigrade, that's my advice - sae 40 will be too thick until the engine & ambient temps are higher during the day, so will starve your engine of precious lubrication during the crucial warm-up period.
