engine light so checked code ?

code was po441 so evapative emission system incorrect. so i cleared it then drove for a few days to see if it came back but hasnt, but fuel is going down quicker than before. would this be? oh sorry ita a 2006 Range Rover L322 4.4 V8 Petrol Fuel, would the { Vapour Canister} cause fuel consumption to go down by half. should i check for pipe leaks the ivap system. thanks for your imput.

Trying to remember how the EVAP works. Has some valves IIRC and to purge itself doesn't it use manifold pressure to suck the vapour out the canister? So if faulty I guess it might suck more fuel vapour through from tank but how much you'd notice I don't know. Not much. @Saint.V8 Or @holidaychicken might know.

I'm not sure but if your petrol / diesel cap is not tight or leaking it can cause evap faults if that is the same thing we are talking about. The TD6 i was messing with had a bad seal on the filler cap and threw a fault

yes filler cap could be the problem. as i have messed around with it and fuel consumption has come back good over the last couple of days. so i will keep a check on it thanks.
