Hi all
I have a 2003 rr td6 which was not used for three months, on using it again three of the electric windows are not working from the drivers door ( 2 x rear and passenger ), drivers door window works but the window doesnt go all the way up or down with one touch like it used to ( other three windows work fine on their own door switches ) drivers doors courtesy light doesnt work, other door courtesy lights are ok, when you lock the car all doors except the drivers door will lock, you have to lock drivers door with the key and the alarm isnt working, indicators dont flash and alarm doesnt set.
At first the electric mirror switch on the drivers door was inoperative too but this has now come back on.
Also whether connected or not who knows the battery charging light is flickering on at high revs around 3500 - 4000
Thanks for any advice.

I fitted a new battery recently as had problems with the battery draining when left standing for more than a day, this was down to the hvac fan coming on when the vehicle was unattended and the dealer sorted it after three attempts and many frustrating episodes, my nearest dealer is 120 miles so that doesnt help either. I will check the battery voltage anyway just to be sure.

You should be reading around 14 volts at the battery around 2000rpm-this will give an indication that the alternator is working. You have to start somewhere with the P38 electrics and the alternator and battery performance is the first step.:)
