On two occasions now I’ve switched off the engine and found my lights have remained on. On the first occasion it was the side lights that remained on , and I was able to get them off by restarting the engine and eventually they went off. More recently the headlights have stayed on, no rear lights on , unable to turn off by removing the fuses only when I removed the cables from the back of the headlight casing did they go off. Any suggestions would be greatfully received before I start spending large sums on some auto electrician that wishes to fleece me.

dim dip relay behind instrument cluster temp bypass if faulty you can get dummy relay that has the same link shown internally

that just plugs in or remove guts from faulty relay and solder link on the two terminals shown

cannot see the logic behind them ,sames as dim rear light on the old rovers, just a drain on the battery to heat up a dirty great resistor, should have put it in the cab and you would be able to warm you hands on a cold morning there are lot's of threads on here about removal

I’ve had a look behind the front panel and found these two units - which is the dim dip ?

it by unplugging the dim dip resistor right hand side of engine compartment behind indicator repeater it would also confirm that dim dip was fitted for Lara she might have thought it too girly for her and LED were the way to go
