I have a 2014 Freelander 2 with a very annoying fault!
The park brake keeps failing, My garage resets the fault and the actuator and after about a week it fails again and locks the brake on! they have replaced the calipers and actuator on the driver side but no improvement, the fault code comes up C2007 which stated earth fault left side motor! Has anyone else experience of this fault and if so what was the cure?

Sounds like you have a problem with controlling the park brake motor on one side. The end result is the motor stops working, stays on brake or oft brake, which is the effect of it not working. There's a number of advisories about brake faults released.

The starting point would be to check all electrical connections are secure, clean and tight. Open the connecters to check the pins are in the right place with no rust/muck. Check the wiring harness to the brake motor for damage. As yours has an earth fault (suggested by fault code c2007) then look for a damaged wire in the harness that could short to earth (body/metal work). Stripped or damaged pvc coating showing bare metal wire. If its shorting the control signal to earth then you loose control of the motor. While yer there check the earth point on the car is secure and rust free.

You can manually power the motors yerself to test them. Its possible it could be the motor itself.

I know nowt about the fl, but if the code said left side why did the garage do the drivers side? or are you LHD?
