It's probably hexadecimal - a=10 b=11 c=12 d=13 e=14 f=15

LOL a=11, b= 12, c=13, d=14, e=15, f=16
But it's more likely the letter is its corresponding position in the alphabet so a =1, b=2 ....z=26 etc

10=a
11=b
12=c
13=d
14=e
15=f
16=10
17=11 and so on

what letters do you have ?
(for security, maybe post them in a different order...)
if there is a letter past f then it's not hexadecimal

Not a problem, it's when you start going into octals that throws me - I used to have to do it for old point of sales equipment - the right big old-fashioned tills they used in cash & carrys - took me a while to get my head round it. Forget now how it all worked.

I really do hate to disagree
BUT (lol)
a, If it were in Hexadecimal I'd be amazed cos obviously even peeps that have heard of it can get it wrong. ( Cant think who
)b, If it were in Hexadecimal I'd expect at least one number to be in the code.
and
c, For simplicity A - I = 1 - 9 is gonna be a lot less key turning than
A - F = 10 to 15 key turns.
But I could be wrong.
So which is it Foxy
