Just about to Blank off the EGR on my 300tdi,

i have seen that some of the kits came with a new hose,

is it a must to change and replace this or can i blank off and then clean the hoses and manifold with Gunk or Petrol???

Or would it be better to blank it off and leave well alone????

Cheers peeps.

The very best way of doing it is with a kit including a new top hose, and fully removing the valve itself and blank-off at the manifold.

Done this meself today. Fitted a new top hose and got rid of the lot. pointless havin ya wind blowing down dead end pipes an lets face it, a disco needs every bit of weight saving it can get.

Would love to tell you what a difference it makes but it's been stood for 3 months an the batteries a bit lethargic.

Did mine with a 2pence piece-nice snug fit in the joint and gasket, between the egr flex hose and intercooler pipe-been 3 months now,no probs
