EGR Blank 'Leak'

Hey Chaps,

I have noticed recently that exhaust gas is leaking out of the EGR Blanking Plate, not a tremendous amount but enough to blacken areas of the engine. The bolts are on nice and tight, I think either the gasket has gone or one of them is slightly warped.

Would sealing it up with some exhaust sealant/glue be acceptable? The stuff I have is rated to 1000c. Just thought id check before I go glueing bits of my engine closed.

+3 block that 'ole right up, split the plates and bung some on each side and then tighten back up, watch you dont get too much on the intake side though, you dont want that crap being sucked in and inducted so to speak ;)
