Hello Gents, can anyone give me a clue on whats up with this.

She has a very slight leak on the front bag - takes 2 days to drop from standard to access height, but here's the problem.
The system will not tell the pump to run.
when connected to the unlock software there are no faults listed
I can switch the compressor on and off via the lap top, it chucks out loads of air and pressure.
I have tested the pressure switch and its O.K.
I can raise one corner at a time via the software, but then it will self level back to the lowest as it should
basically using the lap top it does what it should - unplug it and the pump will not run, it self levels every time I take the key out but will not run the pump to lift it back up. The lights on the dash when its worked its way down show access constant and a flashing standard, you can leave it running for ages and it still will not lock out or detect a fault.
swapped the ECU under the seat with a known and in use good unit - still no change.

Any clues would be much appreciated Cheers

Funny one that are you sure the pressure switch is ok. It has to be open circuit for compressor to run. If it's closed circuit compressor won't run.

Hi Gents, thanks for the replies, haven't checked the thermal cut out yet , pressure switch is open circuit when tank and springs are decompressed using latop, still won't run unless switched by the laptop.
Will check the thermal switch and let you know. at the weekend.

Cheers again

Also!
I found that switching the car off at the ignition, whilst the EAS unlock software and cable were still connected and the software was still running, then unplugging the EAS cable, avoided the ECU throwing a wobbly, might just be the software I am using.

Hello Gents, Quick update, thanks to your advice I have checked out the thermal sensor and it is Knackered - open circuit when cold - not good.

Thanks for your help - Now I can get on and fix the thing

Wammers,

Do you think it's ok to run a Dutch cylinder with a standard seal? I've got the Dutch kit, but want to avoid the cold weather issue coming back...

Cheers.

Yeah that is ok i have a Dutch cylinder with a standard seal in mine it is ok. It's just the Dutch seals that seem to be the problem they tend to collapse and lose contact with the cylinder wall.

Sorry to hear you problems, hope you dont mind me jumping in here, I am newbie, and collecting my p38 today BUT...is it normal for the indication lights on the dash to be red.... Its a red light on the airsuspension level on dash board of car. the guy said it is showing normal node when on level line and has other settings above and below which he flicked though, and it selects other levels? but the very small light is red?
thanks

The four lamps on the selection switch should be orange second from top lit is normal mode. Yes that is normal. The red one with the line through it is EAS lock that should not be on unless lock is engaged. Just press it it should go off.
