DSP Amp issue

Hi it has been suggested to post this question here. I have an 04 plate Range Rover vogue. After spending a fortune on replace the amp and all the audio equipment in the boot 6 months ago the dreaded water had come back again. Before I spend more more money again I wondered if anyone knew of a solution to stopping this happen again.

Buy a smoke machine and see where its coming from they cost £25 then you know exactly there the leak/leaks are coming from

Too new for me but @Saint.V8 and @holidaychicken have had a play with the L322. Plus a few others now I think about it. Hopefully one of them will along shortly.

A water leak is to new???

I have a very small leak so as a temporary solution I covered it with a plastic bag. I did read somewhere that Landrover fitted a waterproof jacket over the electrickery where owners had had issues.

Wouldn't it be better to stop and bung the leak to stop it coming in rather than cover things up, and the water still comes in and creates condensation in the whole car?

Indeed it would and it's on my to do list but as it's such a common problem (and such a small leak) I will still leave it covered up.

If its very small you can get seek & Seal it drys clear it worked on my series II window screen

The official Land Rover fix was indeed a plastic bag to cover the equipment....

wouldn’t rely on a LR bucket it would probably leak too

Then you have to buy the Land Rover epoxy putty

That won’t stick to wet surfaces and the bucket is always wet
