Good evening everyone, I'm having a spot of bother with my 110 drop arm. It's on the shaft of the box and seems a good fit, however, there's still a gap above it of around 3mm and the seal there is just free to move about. This can't be right can it? I've got about 3 threads sticking out of the nut and although it's tight, I haven't torqued it up as I can't find my 1/2" to 3/4" adaptor.

Back to this problem, still not resolved and don't really want to start diving under defenders in Tesco car park.
I'd really appreciate any input on this.

Thanks

Andy

as long as arm is tight its as should be

Thank you @jamesmartin. If you say it's right - it's right. :). I must say though - it's little wonder they seize on is it. Seems an odd design but then again, it's a Land Rover.

As James says torque it up and away you go. The arm does not need to contact the seal as it would wear it away. What you are seeing is the dust seal and not an oil seal. Check it after a day or two just to make sure the arm is still tight.
