Dreaded wooden knocking sound!!!!

Okay, so I have this sound and I think it may be the bottom end and I read some of the threads. The engine only has 86,000 on the clock, so could it be summit else? I don't want to run the engine too much, but the pressure light never comes on and the sound stays after warm up.


If it is indeed the bottom end, I'm gonna put new shells in through the sump and have a couple of questions:

Are the cap bolts 11/32?

Anything else I can do in there whilst I'm there?

I will surely need to prime the pump?

Should I loosen all the bolts and then do each shell one at a time?

Any tips?
