Series 2 Drag Link Assembly IIA 109 Discontinued - RTC2547

Hello,

I'm having a hard time finding a replacement drag link assembly for a Series IIA 109. Bearmach have discontinued their part (BR0838) and nobody seems to have stock. Land Rover can supply one (RTC2547) for a whopping £300+

Can I make this part from different components or will a drag link assembly from a different model Land Rover fit?

Not sure how interchangeable between series but I'm surprised you can't get hold of one. It's a pretty basic part.

You can still get the ball joints for less than thirty quid. What happened to the original?

Just make one up,later series 3 one will do. The only difference is a bracket on the rod for a steering damper.

Series 3 109/ 1 Ton Drag Link is Part no NRC 4609 (1974 onwards). Earlier version was two piece, a bit pointless.
