Hey Everyone
Hope you're all well!

Just a quick question about a dog guard / cargo divider for a Defender 90. Some Defender Station Wagon's have a sort of wall divide that the dog guard sits on. My question is can you purchase a divide that goes across the bottom? Or does that divide blocking section which the dog guard sits on ( like the silver one in the picture below ) come standard with the Defender when it comes out the factory?

Sorry if it's a stupid question.....
I know you can get full length dog guards that are available which cover from floor to roof on the inside, but it's just a question about that solid divide. Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance :)

That's the bulkhead and is built into the van based landys but you can buy two piece mesh dog guards that are made as top and bottom parts for csw types.
If you want a solid lower part only it would be easy enough to make from ply or similar and could be covered in matching carpet or similar if looks were important

Hi Jam1 - thanks so much for the reply! I had a hunch it was that! I think the two part one is actually quite smart - thanks for popping up a picture - really appreciate it! :)

So if l read your post correctly, you have a Defender without the steel bulkhead and you want to fit a mesh dog guard, but only the bottom half?

I did the same in my 2006 90. It does look good and also provides storage behind the seats/centre cubby box.

You can buy the genuine LR dog guard but it costs nearly £300. The top part can be removed leaving just the lower part in place.

I forgot to remove the lower part when l sold the 90 so when l bought my 110 l had to buy another.......I looked at the alternatives but sadly the genuine LR one is by far the best.

I've got a spare top part if anybody wants it for a Defender with the steel bulkhead!
