Any one would love to own it!!! But not sure I would want it as a every day car? I wound not put my 18 month baby in there either. It sounds like a minter thou. Only you will know if it meets your needs. Take away the child in your self for 10 mins and think is it REALLY what you want????

thanks for the reply, after not having a car for the past 6 months, and ive been searching for cars pretty much everyday, i wanted something different, but definately a 4x4. after hunting hight and low, i decided a discovery is for me, it would only be for personal use, ive got a work van for traveling too and from work, and my son would only be in it, when i pick him up and drop him off in the evenings, even then only in the cold weather, rest of the time when the weathers better i will walk him down as its a 20 minute round trip (walking).

after finding this particular one and seeing a picture of it in action i have since looked up places localy that i can go to start off roading, and there is one place about 8 miles from me and a few others within 30 miles, so i would get some decent use out of it,
at the least i will run it for a year, if its not truly what i want then i can sell up and get something else.

what price would you pay for it, there wasnt one on the advert but i have emailed him and he has given me a rough idea of what to offer.

This will sound funny and silly but if you take it to pay and play off-roaring it will break it and you will loose realibilty and panels and money??

..................This thing has never been stuck, and i mean NEVER ,, please dont be fooled as this is not ya ordinary disco that claims to be a real offroader with a 2 inch lift and a snorkel,, this baby is the real deal, ..................ive used it for light greenlaning and its never let me down,

honest opinions welcome,

Obviously I don't know the seller and without pictures and the price it's a bit difficult to be objective but you ask what doesn't add up.

Here are a few points to ponder...........

You could also describe it as a worthless old Disco with some nice bits bolted on.

Eldelbrock carbs are crap off road although that would be less of an issue if running LPG.

4 inch lift (if that is all suspension) would be cocking up the geometry bigtime. He doesn't mention caster correction arms or wide plane propshafts.

If it is so good, why doesn't he put a back seat in it and keep it?

Finally, nothing to do with the car but there is no way I would take an 8 month old child off road, their body isn't up to it. Maybe I misunderstood what you meant.

Cheers

Chris
