Hi I recently took my ex-mod 110 to a landrover garage that came recommended to me, and they wrote up a list of stuff to do to it. Could you please tell me if the list seems reasonable, and give me some more information of what actually needs doing (In simple terms, I am not very good at mechanics). Thanks for your help!

Yes there is some wobble when steering unfortunately. It just seems to be a never-ending money pit :( :( -I have spent more £4000 on it in the last year-recon engine, new rear door, pioneering tools, re-trimmed newer design front seats, seat covers, gearbox oil change, lots of paint, waxoyl, front and rear acoustic matting...

Well, many of those bits will address the wobble. Did you tell them that it was handling poorly?

Yes I did, and they recommended I had the work done soon-ish. Does the price for parts and labour seem reasonable? I just want to get to the stage where it does not need anything major needing doing for a year or two if that makes sense :)

I wouldn't pay a mechanic to do the bold items.

It's hard for me to say if it is reasonable because I'm a Yank and am not familiar with UK pricing and I do my own spannering. Most everything associated with wobble and wandering is on the list except for the swivels and wheel bearings, which can contribute to the problem too.

I suppose the battery bracket and the bulb light I could do myself, but I wouldn`t even know where to start with the rest :/

The price doesn't seem too bad for a garage.
From looking up a few of the part numbers and prices it seems they're pricing for genuine lr stuff as the prices seem to match what I'm being quoted.

The labour is only 4 hours, and £45 a hour is reasonably cheap nowadays.

Non of them jobs are hard. May I suggest buying some tools and having a crack yourself.
If you're planning on keeping an lr then it will save you a fortune in the long run.
It's no wonder you've spent £4,000 in a year. Especially when you're labour charges. At £45 an hour it soon racks up.

Thanks for the sympathy! :) I`m taking on as much part time work as I possibly can, and spending all of it on the landy

Whereabouts are you, roughly?

Maybe someone on here might do some of the jobs with or for you and/or at least show you a few little bits you can do yourself.

I`m ordering the battery hold down tray, and will order the bulb later. I honestly wouldn`t know where to start replacing bushes and radius arms...

I`m currently at uni in Chichester, but most of the tools that I own are in Bristol (I normally do any work on it in Bristol during the holidays)
