Just saw a pic which inspired me to create this thread:
Glen Nevis - Land Rover Photos

Do you ever sleep in your landy? (roof tents don't count) I've never slept in mine so far, not sure a FL1 would be very comfortable however.

I've slept in my previous car (BMW 3 series) and despite the seat being generally comfortable, it wasn't very nice when trying to lay flat!

Hi, I think a FL 1 would be reasonably comfy, if you folded the rear seats forward, there are only two small bars that would be annoying, but with a folded blanket (or similar) over them I think it would be fine.
Granted not as much space as a 110 but would be good enough.

But you'd need to be less than 5ft tall. :p

I have slept in the back of my 109 hard top quite a few times. I went on a tour through europe and instead of paying to camp, I just pulled over on a quiet strech of road and laid my sleeping bag in the back on a hinged sheet of ply I made up.

Used to sleep in my freeby when i had a bike race across the country, and couldn't be arsed driving at 5 o clock in the morning to get there for an early start race.

Also have done for a few days when i first moved over to Ireland. It beat staying in a scrubby hostel and i went the gym for showers in the morning.

I'd got no rear seats as i removed them totally. Front seats had to be slid all the way to the front, and then i had plenty of room to blow my airbed up in the back. Very comfy indeed.

Yup, twice. Once with rear seats folded forwards, which was cramped even for a shortarse (5'4") like me, but OK sleeping diagonally. Second time with no rear seats and this worked really well with camping stove space, room to more about and enough space to use the pee bottle easily .. without dripping on the sleeping bag!

;)

As a rule only in an emergency...Like if the tent gets damaged or the weather is seriously bad and goes without saying if i spend too much time working on it and the boss gets mad!!! and locks me out....LMAO

Slept in the front of the Series on several occasions - the worst was in France at -7c!

Rusty is the only real man on this thread, sleeping in something as big as a 110/109, or as gay as Freelander with folding seats, just doesn't count :D

I also did a night in Morocco across the front three seats of my 90 when I was too tired to put up the roof tent :p O and Woods767 sleeps underneath his landy

ive slept in a propper mini before! where ever you move your cramped

Have slept in my 'inproper' MINI on a few occassions - back seats with both front seats tipped forwards works okay.

Have slept in the Landy, laid my legs across the rear bench and was upright against the door.

But then I'll sleep anywhere.... providing I have Nurofen for the impending back pain :p
