discovery tempreture sensor

Hi,

I have recently got myself a discovery 300tdi. The tempreture gauge has never worked correctly.

Does anyone know where the sensor is located?

The Haynes manual sugests it's in the thermostat housing, but I have two there & also one on the top of the cylinder head.

The sensor for the temperature gauge is in the front face of the head hiding behind the thermostat housing, look for it from the drivers side.
