LR will supply a code IF it is a genuine LR fitted radio, AND you got proff of being the rightful owner !!

If you can't fit those requirements, 'fraid you're gonna have to humm and whistle your fav tunes

Finally I have my radio code:D, I went to land rover's main office in Honduras, and they gave the code to me. but the thing now is that i follow the process to set the code but the radio is like "frezze", it isnt working, i dont know what's going on.

If you have enterd a 'wrong code' at any time, the unit will 'freeze' for a time delay, which gets progressively longer each time you enter an incorrect code

Acording to the manual (but depends on which radio model) the 1st wrong entry incurrs a 1 min delay, the 2nd wrong entry it doubles to 2 mins, 3rd wrong entry doubles to 4 mins and so on . . . . if you have entered a wrong code the display will show "CODE WAIT" or "WAIT" . . .

DO NOT SWITCH OFF the radio (or your ignition) and wait for the code to show simply "CODE"

But if you want more info than that, I will need the radio model ??

ok, the radio does not accept any code, the instructions says that I have to star the car, then turn on the radio and the screen will show, CODE, and they say that i have to press the preset 1 button and press the up or down tuning button.
I do that but in the screen never show the numbers of the code...is like the radio were dead, you know what im trying to say...my english is too limited jeje

Many Thanks

Try this, with the radio off, hold button 1 in, then press the on switch, does it beep, then show "code" ?

if so enter the code, then press button 1 to confirm

If that don't work I give up, I'll try and find out some more an let you kno !!!

hey I'd tried to do what you say, but, nothing happens...what Im going to do is disconnect the battery this weekend and try next monday, my brother told me that, cause he has a Discovery 98 too, and had the same problem.

we'll see.

Thanks for all the support my friend.

Hi there. I know I am responding to an old thread, but I just got a 53 plate Disco 2 and it has just come out of the workshop after some work where they disconnected the battery and so the radio code is lost. I did not get the code with the vehicle, in fact no manuals at all, so I am stuck. Any assistance to be able to get the code would be appreciated. Also, as you will no doubt need the radio model, how do I identify that. Thanks.

As was stated above, ring a LR dealer, tell them the prob, go along with all they ask you to bring and they will give you all the codes.
