discovery problems wiring

hi wondered if any one could help me just bought a discover es 94 was in need of engine putting back together so set about doing so and all has gone pretty well but have a wiring problem under engine bay have added pics and hope some one can tell me what and where these wires go theres a strip conector with 7 wires various colours and at back of engine there seems to be a strip conector with 5 wires and a sender nxt to rocker .the other wiring problem is a three pin plug nr air box cant seem to find a home for it hoping some one can help

The three pin plug you can forget about for now, mines not connected to anything, never has been. I have a suspicion that it may be for headlight leveling if fitted.
The other strip connectors are obviously not standard, I'm not certain but it looks as though someone has cut a section out of the wiring loom for convenience.
Do the colours of the 5 wires at the rear match 5 of the 7 wires at the front?
Theres certainly a cable loom that appears to run between the two positions on mine, runs beside off side of head below injectors.
Where exactly is the sender next to the rocker?
I'll try and have a look if it stops raining.
