Discovery i viewed today any advice?

Hi all,
Ive been to view a disco today at a dealer 94 Lreg 200tdi 140k on the clock.Its got 18 stamps in the service book it looks gud from the outside there is some rust holes under arches and in boot floor.The dealer said they would all be welded up and a new mot with it when bought.Any thoughts or advice please?
 
It is up for 1650 its at a dealer like i said ive got a zafira as part ex.Just a bit concerned about the rust holes but if they are going to be welded up like he said it shud be ok i hope?
 
Yeah ive checked boot floor there are rust holes and rust holes in arches.But he said they would be all welded for new mot it comes with.
 
Fook me - I only paid £1500 for my 97 300 with <90,000miles... from a dealer anall - had 1 day on the mot and a rusty sill!

Try and beat him down on price for that motor...

I agree with Lerk, that's a bit steep, I only paid £775 for mine with 140k on it, new boot floor, new springs all round, poly bushed etc. Have a look on ebay you'll get a lot more for your money.
 
I agree with them^^^. Beat him down with a **** off stick for taking the pi$$! Then beat him some more.

I'd say for £1650 it'd have to be an absolute minter with under 100k on it.
 
Tell the dealer the snows going, he can put his prices back down now!!!
It's way too much for that year and mileage. Sell your zafira (they sell easily), and get a decent 96-97 300tdi.
