discovery bull bar

hi all i've recently bought another 300 tdi this one a 94 model, im changing a few things on it to improve the look one thing is a bull bar i bought one of ebay listed as a 300 tdi but it does'nt fit my motor, it's close but the holes are apx 2 inches away from lining up i could extend these to fit but if i do this my number plate and sorround wont go back on due to the bottom of the bull bar running along where the number plate sorround should go im thinking this is for a different model but im no expert any ideas anyone, thank you p.s i'll try and get a picture of it on later.

Sounds like its for a TD5 or something else
I had a 300 and got a bull bar, it just bolted straight on, perfectly

E bay it back out and get a 300 one

i had to remove the plastic bumper protector to fit mine, try removing it (not much to remove it) then try lining it up again

well i took the number plate sorround of and the bull bar rests against the bumper and the holes are apx 2 inches from lining up, i can make it fit and fit well but i'd have to make the bumper thats hidden by the number plate panel look good as it will be on view as the bars in the way and the number plate panel wont go back on, the guy i got it from says it came of his 97 300 tdi, mines a 94 300 tdi could there be a difference im sure there is'nt ?.

i assume it fits to the bolts that hold the bumper on as i cant see anywhere else it can secure, unless im missing something lol.
