Discovery 4 cruise control....Help

Can anyone help!!! I have a the basic Disco 4 with no cruise control, and want to fit it. I have purchased and fitted a genuine LR cruise control switch/ steering wheel unit that I just plugged in from the rear then refitted the airbag. The local LR dealer did something to the ECU to enable it to recognise the addition of CC. They pointed out that the space for the fuse on the fuse board only had one of the female connectors so couldn't put a fuse in, so the CC still doesn't work and didn't know what else they would need to do to make it work. Can anyone help, or does anyone have a clue on what work I / garage needs to be done to get it working. Thanks for reading.

I know amost nothing about the Disco 4, but there might be a small clue there.

Also try forum "Disco3.co.uk" which also covers D4,s. Somebody there may help

Should they not have known this bit at the start ?

No, wait, you said that they're a LR dealer - did you mean they are a main dealer ?

Have you looked at the wiring diagrams, if they are available ?

It wasn't a main dealer, it was a LR specialist. No, don't know how to get hold of wiring diagrams, plus electrics are white mans magic!!!

It's got the disco 3 engine 2.7litre engine if that helps

I have the same problem cant find out what parts to fit i have fitted a steering switch what else do you need to get the cruise to work thanks

Always nice to say hi etc over in the introduce section

May i ask what year is ur D4 and did u but the switch packs together

Have u got the white horn symbols on the wheel plse

Is urs 6 or 8 speed

Unfortunately they won’t work as in plug and play but will try and help
