Discovery 300tdi heating

Hi. New here. Just bought a 300tdi d1 project for offroading and because its a landrover. Whoever owned it before didnt look after it. So i serviced it. Used it at some offroading centres and now winter is coming im trying to sort the heating out, the aircon has been removed, and i thonk this is where my problem is. I have no power to the heating cooling controls. The fan works on battery, all fuses look ok. Haynes manual says about the wires, so traced then but loose them, guessing its from where the aircon has been taken out so how could i sort thos without having another aircon, shall i take some wires from battery to switch, had no sleep last night and feel confused today. Just cant work it out. Need the heating to dry the inside out. As its already pretty bad, the 2 brown wires in the fuse box showing 5/6volts when running,
