Hi looking for any advice, I have just removed the auto gearbox to get it and the torque converter overhauled (rev counter fluctuating). At the same time checked the input shafts into the differentials, the rear has no rotational slack, whereas the front has a lot of slack when alternating the rotation.

Can someone let me know if this is normal on the front diff, before I get carried away and pull it out/replace?

There was a number of front diff failures on both the D3 and RRS which shared identical running gear.

Perhaps you have been lucky and found your's just in time.
