Some help please, I have recently had to replace the ECU on the above , I have used nanocom to install the ECU but have encountered a problem , 1st time with Nanocom so good chance its me!

The car wont start and fault code P1674 is coming up on Nanocom message is 'imobiliser incorrect ,code drive Cycle A occurred 1 time , signal too low . In addition I am not getting a spark , which I think due to immobiliser issue ?? also I don't think pump is working . Have I done something wrong setting it with nanocom ....any advice welcome.

Hi, i dont have much experience with V8s, according to nanocom guide if you fitted other ECU only the two actions from "UTILITY" menu should be carried away:

UTILITY:

· Discovery Security Learn: This function forces theMotronic ECU to learn the incoming
code from the BCU in a Discovery Series II as its correct mobilization code.
· Reset adaptive values: The adaptive values should be reset if any of the following
components have been renewed or rectified: fuel injector, lambda sensor, fuel pump,
fuel rail,MAFS, inlet manifold, after fixing an air leak or if a new ECU was fitted.

Hi again .....I now have the ecu talking to becu , what I don't have is a spark at the plugs any thoughts? Also would the nanocom record a faulty coil pack,relay or crank sensor ?

I think only the crank sensor is monitored but you better read the attachment... unfortunately i can't help you more with the V8

Thanks for response , tested quite a few things on disco today, can I ask a question regarding the inertia switch ...when switching on and off is there pronounced click ?
 
The inertia switch can't be turned on and off like a normal switch, it takes a fairly high shock to open the contacts and then it is reset by pressing the top down. You are looking at the right part? It's on the bulkhead on the passenger side on RHD vehicles.

Hi again yes correct part. On n/s inner bulkhead same as one in my 80's mini tried it on mini and it seems ok ..... Going to try crank sensor next . Appreciate the input .
